Small Group Options
Communication in Marriage
Facilitated by Pastor Susan and her husband David, this class will help you connect with other couples in the church as you learn strategies for improving communication and setting boundaries. Material is based on the book Boundaries in Marriage by Cloud and Townsend, and copies of the book are available (see other side), though not necessary. Though the course is deigned with couples in mind, you are encouraged to sign up even if your spouse can’t make it to all the meetings.
Talking about homosexuality: a congregational resource
Rev. Ed Folkwein and David Souther will lead a small group through this book in the Holy Conversations series. Participants will connect with each other as they discuss how homosexuality is viewed both in our church and in our communities.
United Methodist Confirmation
This small group is open to all youth 14 and older who have not yet been confirmed in the United Methodist Church. Confirmation is a process of exploring your own faith and determining how your faith fits with that of the church. Participants in this small group have the option of joining the church at the end of their time together.
Kingdom Club
is for children kindergarten through 5th grade. This small group will gather to explore who God is and how God calls us to serve others. They will have projects each week that will lead them to a service project on February 14, our final day together.
Preschool Partners
is for children 3-5 years of age. Through story, songs and play, this small group will learn what it means to partner with God to help make good things happen.
Lessons in Leadership
is for youth not taking the confirmation class who would like to learn leadership skills. This small group will assist with Kids Club and Preschool Partners
Nursery will be provided for children younger than three.
