This summer at Grace, we will have several great options for being in worship together! The video above explains what we're doing. Here's more information about the three ways we're worshiping together this summer:
Online worship will continue each week this summer. We will have a live premiere of the service every Sunday morning at 10:30 am.
One change to the service is that we will be switching platforms, from Facebook Live to premiering worship on YouTube. There are a couple of reasons for this. For one thing, it is much simpler to access the service on YouTube, you don't have to search for the service on a Facebook Page, you simply go to the church's YouTube channel and you will see that the current week's worship service is the first video on the channel. You do not need to have an account to use YouTube, which makes it easier for people who don't use Facebook to join us. Additionally, we have the capability to put the YouTube premiere on our church's website, which means you can watch the service live by simply going to our website. This change will begin on Sunday, July 12. We will also put the service on Facebook, but it will not be premiering there.
So beginning July 12, here is how you access worship:

Outdoor worship provides us with the opportunity to participate in worship in a way that is more familiar to us - in person, with singing, scripture, prayer, and a message from the pastor. Much of what we do in the sanctuary, we are able to do on the lawn! And those who have difficulties being outside on the lawn, have the ability to participate in worship from their cars while listening to the service on their radios (just like at a drive-in movie theater). You can find more information about Outdoor Worship here. Each week, two of the Billings UMC's will be hosting outdoor worship. Our dates for outdoor worship at Grace are July 19, August 2, and August 23. Below you will find the schedule for outdoor worship this summer. HOUSE CHURCH WORSHIP
House Church is a summer experiment. It is a smaller group worship experience where groups of 10 or less gather together for a time of worship that includes scripture, prayer, Holy Communion, a short recorded message from Rev. Sarah, and a time of holy conversation and reflection on the scripture/message and how it relates to our lives now. The groups will be invited to meet either in the Fireside Room, on the front lawn at the church, or online (Zoom) at the time of day and day of week that is most convenient for the group.
This video explains more about House Church worship in a short reflection on Jeremiah 29:1-7. You can check out a sample House Church service by following along with the bulletin you'll find here.
Whether you worship on your couch, in your tent, in a small group, or even from your car, we look forward to being with you in worship this summer!
