PEACE PROTEST IN MEMORY OF GEORGE FLOYD AND BIPOC KILLED BY POLICE
Sunday, June 7 at 1 PM on the Yellowstone County Courthouse Lawn
People of Billings will gather on the Courthouse Lawn this Sunday for a peaceful protest of the injustices suffered by Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC). Please get your posters, banners, T-shirts and other things together in honor of lives lost.
Methodists will gather at the corner of Broadway and 4th Ave N by 12:45pm to walk over to the courthouse lawn. Please bring banners and wear T-shirts as you feel called.
Parking lot at First UMC can be used, marked on the map
The police have been active with the planners of this protest to hopefully quell any problems. However, if there are problems we have two safe locations to head to if needed. First UCC has offered their space, you should be accompanied by a pastor wearing clerical wear to get into the building.
First UMC is also available. Pastor Mike and Pastor Tyler have keys and can let us in if needed. • Again this is a safely organized protest, but in case of any issues we want to have a location to head to.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR!
On Sunday, June 21 at 10:30, we will meet on the front lawn for worship.

Ask for Prayers

We have begun a new weekly email called “People News” that will come out at the beginning of each week with prayer requests, celebrations, and other news about the people of Grace. You can contribute by sending us your prayers and praises by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (259-9711). Currently we are trying to compile as complete a list as possible of birthdays and anniversaries. Please send us your birthday and anniversary dates so that we can add it to the list.
Since most church buildings across the city of Billings are closed, Family Promise families have been sheltering in place. Two families are sleeping at the Day Center and 2 families are staying in transitional housing. Volunteers are providing the evening meal for 8 people (4 adults and 4 children at last count). If you would like to volunteer to provide dinner follow these steps.
1. go to the website volunteersignup.org/9449H and sign up for the day you want
2. on the selected day, bring the meal to the Day Center at 10 26th Street South between 4 and 5 p.m.
3. a staff member will meet you and accept the food (please bring in disposable containers)
4. you do not need to stay, (in fact you can't stay) and the only person you interact with is the staff member
