Ton of Love - February Food Bank Drive

According to Feeding America, In Montana, 109,150 people are struggling with hunger - and of them 36,560 are children. 1 in 6 children struggles with hunger. During the month of February, the Billings United Methodist Churches are challenging our congregations to unite in a virtual food drive to bring over a ton of food into Family Services Food bank to help fight hunger right here in Billings and Yellowstone County. By giving directly to the food bank we can help them multiply their purchase power. Family service is able to purchase food at an average rate of $1.62 per pound, averaging a little over $3200 per ton of food. There are four ways to give: Text to give at: 26989 using the code: TON OF LOVE Give online at: www.billingsfamilyservice.org/#donate Mail donations to: Family Service P.O. Box 1020 Billings, MT 59103 (Write in the memo line: Ton of Love) Through our donations, the food bank will stock up on essentials most needed during this winter and the pandemic. Let’s all work together to help feed our community and insure nobody goes without food!
